Even though our County office will be closing, because transit is an essential function, Kern Transit will keep operating for as long as we safely can. Beginning Monday, September 9, 2019, Kern Transit buses will no longer stop at the Wasco Amtrak station. A new bus stop has been constructed near City Hall on 8th Street between F Street and G Street.

Beginning Wednesday, May 1st, Kern Transit will offer 7 weekday roundtrips connecting Bakersfield, Frazier Park and Santa Clarita as part of a two-year pilot project funded through the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) program.
