Kern County has announced that we will be moving to an “essential-staffing only model” effective tonight until April 14th. Whiskey Flat Days are this weekend in Kernville, and to help celebrate Kern Transit will be offering a FREE shuttle between Lake Isabella and Kernville all day on SATURDAY. Avoid the parking hassle and take Kern Transit!
Beginning Friday, February 7th, there will be time changes to some trips onRoutes 100, 130, and 140. Also, the Mojave Airport stop will be discontinued, and the Inyokern stop will be moved to the transit center.

ROUTE 120 (Taft – Bakersfield) Beginning Monday 11-4, we will be moving our eastbound and westbound stops back to their original locations on Stockdale Highway at Buena Vista Road.
Beginning Monday, September 9, 2019, Kern Transit buses will no longer stop at the Wasco Amtrak station. A new bus stop has been constructed near City Hall on 8th Street between F Street and G Street.

Beginning Wednesday, May 1st, Kern Transit will offer 7 weekday roundtrips connecting Bakersfield, Frazier Park and Santa Clarita as part of a two-year pilot project funded through the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) program.
